News: I’ve got a new qualification!

I am really proud to share that I have *at last* achieved my Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute 🥂🎉👩‍🎓👯‍♀️

Not gonna lie, it was at times a slog as it is so difficult freelancing alongside academic study. Or rather, in my freelance world, it was all too easy to choose paid work over time to study. To prioritise delivering for my clients and being good at my job.

This is all despite it being one of my top strengths; a love of learning. Because of this, I persevered and I have to say that I REALLY enjoyed learning again. Bit of a shock writing academically at Masters level considering the last time I did that was during my postgrad study in 2009.... And I definitely knew that when I was awarded my Arts Council England funded #DYCP in 2021 that it would be a balancing act: study and freelance life. But, I am pleased to say that it was so very, very worth it and hard work pays off 😁🤓 3 years later and I can finally say I’ve done it!

I chose the non-taught, distance learning option for this course through training providers Next Level Impact who got me through it. Thanks to my learning guide Martin Rice for all of the feedback, encouragement, words of wisdom, guidance and reflection. If you're looking for a qualification to fit around your work & life, then look no further. I highly recommend Martin and Next Level Impact.

So, as I'm a glutton for punishment, I should now start the Level 7 CMI course in Professional Consulting, yeah?! 🤣🙄🤔🙊 watch this space….
